Across the moor on the Spine and the Cloud trails
Macc to Congleton.
40 miles, about 1hour
Recommended by my non-motorised cycling colleagues, tried this out on a suitably cloudy day. Down from Macclesfield to Rudyard and E to W across the moor, then South to Brown Edge and up along the Spine of the Moor.
Then left and right to follow The Cloud road round to Congleton.
To be honest, not great for motorbikes. More riding to reach the area than good riding when there. Narrow twisting roads with midline loose gravel and crumbling edge tarmac, so concentrating on road and can't look at the scenery anyway. And loads of middle aged men in lycra cluttering up the route, usually coming slowly up the hills. But if you stop at one of the limited spots, the views are great.
